The makers of Baldur's Gate 3 are working on two new games

Larian Studio, the developer of Baldur's Gate 3 game, is moving forward with the construction of two new projects.

Baldur's Gate 3 is Larian Studio's most brilliant achievement to date. The game was met with critical acclaim and phenomenal sales worldwide, but Larian Studio is looking for new experiences with its next projects. Last month, Sven Winke , the founder of this team and the director of Baldur's Gate 3, announced that their next game will not have anything to do with the world of Dungeons and Dragons. Now Larian team has provided more information about its future plans.
In a Steam post detailing upcoming content for Baldur's Gate 3, such as modding tools, new evil endings, and more, Larian Studios also gave some insight into its future plans, announcing that it is currently working on two new games, both They are based on the IPs of the studio itself.
Larian Studio wrote in this regard: "Making a work in the world of Dungeons and Dragons was a dream come true for us. However, as Seven recently announced, new and extensive story content is not planned for Baldur's Gate 3 and the main characters and their companions. There are also no plans to make expansion packs or games for Baldur's Gate 4.
As an independent studio that has been in business since 1996, we have always valued the freedom to pursue our creativity in whatever direction helps us. After 6 years of working in the world of Forgotten Realms and after many discussions and reviews, we decided to use this opportunity to develop our own IPs. We are currently working on two new projects and are more excited than ever for what the future holds."

Larian Studio also reiterated that there is still a long way to go before releasing further details about these projects, however, they assured fans that their next projects will still be based on the immersive and choice-based gameplay that their previous games are known for.
The developer wrote: "We are still at the beginning of the journey and will share more details about these projects with you in the future, however you should know that while our focus is on making new games, we still have those key features that made Baldur's Gate 3 a success." They are alive and well in Larian Studio. That passion for creating immersive experiences shaped by your choices continues to burn in us, and we look forward to having you join us on our next adventure.”
Sven Winke also said that due to the studio's storytelling, visual and gameplay plans, the projects Larian is making will be the developer's best works to date. "I don't know if we'll make it or not, but looking at the storytelling, visuals, and gameplay plans we have, I think the projects we're working on will be our best to date," he said. I want to show everyone right now, but I'm tired of having to wait until they're done. "Yes, maybe it's just excitement, but the reason for this excitement is that our projects really look and feel great."
Larian Studios has already confirmed that their next game will not be Divinity: Original Sin 3. Probably, one of the two projects that the studio is currently working on is a new game from the Divinity series, but according to the past words of Larian team, it is likely that there is more time left until the release of this project.
Given the success of Baldur's Gate 3, it makes sense that Wizard of the Coast, the owner of the Dungeons and Dragons franchise, would be looking to make a sequel, so it's talking to other developers to find a partner for the next Baldur's Gate.
